More Democrat Ethics (bill) Problems

Now it seems the Democrats have stripped the provision requiring former members of Congress to wait two years before lobbying.

Again, I think this is stupid to have to impose a post-employment restriction on Congressmen, but the Democrats said they would do it when they were running and are now breaking another promise.

Add that to the growing list: first, Dems were going to increase scrutiny of bundling of campaign checks, but that has gone by the wayside. I don't know if it has anything to do with Majority Leader Steny Hoyer's new Chief of Staff, but that guy sure knew how to get votes - just make a below interest loan as a lobbyist and gain a powerful ally in Congress.

The Democrats played the political game for 40 years while in charge and had all kinds of corruption problems. They even have corruption problems now they aren't dealing with (see William Jefferson, Nancy Pelosi and Alan Mollohan).

Nancy Boyda's team suggested Jim Ryun was corrupt and that Republican leadership was corrupt last year. Her campaign theme was "Nothing Will Change Until We Change Congress." Either she was lying then or she's failing to live up to her campaign promises now, but if she was telling the truth, then she should return all the campaign contributions she received from Democrat leadership until they uphold their promise to pass the ethics reform they campaigned on.

Call Nancy Boyda's office and tell her to give back Democrat leadership money:

Tom Delay was a bonafide criminal. Did Ryun give back contributions he got from Tom Delay?

Right, like calling Mrs. Boyda's office is going to work. She's been in office less than six months, and she's made it clear that she is going to ignore the yokels back in the district. The only change she wanted in Congress was the sign on the door to Jim Ryun's office.

I'm sorry, what crime has Tom DeLay been convicted of?

I thought Tom DeLay ran the House of Representatives like a thug, however, he has yet to be convicted of anything. So, let's hold off on the "bonafide criminal" comments.
