Dedicated to the proposition that Nancy Boyda is a one termer.

FYI

Yesterday, the House Conservatives Fund endorsed Jim Ryun.

"This endorsement, coming more than fourteen months before the Republican primary, indicates the firm belief of the House Conservatives Fund that Jim Ryun remains the best person to represent the values and the needs of the citizens of Kansas’ Second Congressional District."

This endorsement is no surprise. The bigger question is whether the moderate counterpart of Republicans in the House will endorse Jenkins and when.

this endorsement doesn't matter much in reality...though it could be spun bad in the press...."just part of the nasty R crowd that gave you the Iraq war..and that you just voted out of office..." Boyda and Jenkins could have fun with it

Who cares about these endorsements? I want to know why Ryun's former staffers and key donors are supporting Jenkins.

Let's wait till the next campaign finance report is due to say Ryun's key donors have jumped ship. And, as for key staffers, let's see some endorsements in writing.

Anonymous said...

I was a Ryun staffer and I have definitely NOT jumped to Jenkins.

Anonymous said...

When people say "key donors" are they talking about Mark Heitz?

Anonymous said...

I am another former Ryun staffer. I actually took the time to contact each of my former co-workers and we are all still solidly behind Mr. Ryun. Whoever said the Ryun staff is jumping ship, don't know what they are talking about.

Mark Heitz gave to Ryun once. He isn't a key supporter.
I guess this is going to be the trend for the Jenkins crowd-a rumor mongering, whisper campaign. Pathetic. They know they can't win if the primary is about the issues given their candidate is a tax raiser and a WISH List candidate. Talk about two huge strikes in a Republican primary.
BTW-we should start a pool: how much of her own money is Lynn Jenkins going to put in for her first report (and reimburse herself the day after filing)?

What ever happened to Ronald Reagan's 11th Commandment: "Thou shalt not speak ill of a fellow Republican."

We're going to kill each other and allow negative Nancy to stay in office!

I bet the Ryun's will sell the house at a loss to one of their special interest groups just to prove the housing market stinks.

I hear Tom Delay could use a Capital Hill office.

The leader of this group, Tom Feeney, is under investigation by the FBI for his ties to Jack Abramoff. Guess we know where Jack Abramoff's other friends stand on the KS-2 race.

Anonymous said...

I am yet another former Ryun staffer. My support remains solidly with him.

Anonymous said...

Jack Abramoff is also connected to Harry Reid, who gave a campaign donation to Steny Hoyer of Maryland, who then gave a campaign donation to Nancy Boyda. Let's see...Nancy Boyda is accepting illegal campaign contributions!

Steny Hoyer once played golf with Mark Foley.

Jenkins will put a lot of money in. Guess you'll have to wait and see if she takes it out the day after the report. My guess is she will not as she knows someone will make an issue of it. However many DC people want to know how much an underdog candidate is willing to put in the race and in this case it will be sizable. Taking down the Ryuns will be worth it. As far as all the Ryun staffers staying with Ryun. That is false, most of them are staying behind him, but others are not. That is 100% true and the Ryun crowd will find that out in the next few months.

The "Jenkins Crowd" stuff gets old. Their is just as much miss information being put out by the "Ryun Crowd". But then again the Ryun's can do no wrong. Oops there I go again. Someone needs to stop me, I need help.

Anonymous said...

If all of the Ryun former non Kansas staffers still support him. Why do they post as anonymous?

Anonymous said...

I don't know, maybe because if they come out with their names, you will ridicule them.

Anonymous said...

Yeah-I'm getting a kick out of those Ryun staffers who are so proud of their boy, they post anonymous.

This former Ryun staffer will openly tell anyone who asks that Ryun is the guy for the job. In fact, I am frequently asked about this race and it's no secret that I am supporting Ryun. However, given the personal nature of the attacks leveled against hard-working staffers (from any camp) on this site, I think you’ll find very few staffers (regardless of allegiance) jumping up and down to post their names. It's not a matter of anonymity, it's a matter of not feeding into the track record of slander that posters on this site have demonstrated. And let's not forget that all these brave, bad people posting accusations have also been posting anonymously. There isn't a single attributed comment on this entire string.

Ryun blamed the defeat on his staff and campaign manager, so not sure why they would support him and say others ridicule them when Ryun did it himself. Not all former staffers are supporting him though that is the truth.

Anonymous said...

Ryun did not blame the defeat on his campaign manager and particularly not on his staff. He accepted the blame himself.

I am a former Ryun staffer and every staffer I have visited with continue to support him. It is true. Probably not every single Ryun staffer will continue to support him. That would be unreasonable to expect.

I have visted with some current and former Jenkins staffers. Not all them support her.

Shoot, I have even visited with some current Boyda staffers. Some of them don't even support her, they just need a job.

I work on the Governor's staff. Many of you know me. I have had the opportunity to work with Jenkins, Ryun and Boyda on several occasions. Jenkins is perfectly suited where she's at. She's a tremendous State Treasurer. Ryun belongs back in Congress. He was very unassuming but was very effective in representing his district. Boyda is marginal at best. She is more interested in advancing her own personal agenda than anything. She can't make a move- campaign or congressional- without the consent and approval of her attorney husband. She has none of her own convictions- that is why she is all over the map on issues and statements. She is purely poll driven and very few of us on the Governor's staff respect or can stand her.

there isn't a member of the govnernor's staff that would, ever, post something like the above poster did...Kathleen would have their head.

i'm shocked, just shocked, someone would say Jim Ryun didn't blame his staff, manager, and volunteers for his loss...the quote we quite clear, that if people hadn't had a false sense of security he wouldn't have lost...

Anonymous said...

That's the one I remember. I was looking for it online, but couldn't find it.

Anonymous said...

I indeed work on the Governor's staff. The information I posted earlier is not a surprise to anyone within the inner circle.

Anonymous said...

One of the bright things about working for the Governor is she's a person that values independent thought and individual expression. The comments from my earlier post have been expressed by me and others since the first Boyda race in 2004. Boyda inspire any respect and none is given to her. If she weren't a registered Democrat the Governor wouldn't give her the time of day.

I don't have any problem believing the remarks from the guy at the state capitol. I am friends with a Moore staffer here in O.P. Boyda is not well respected within the Moore camp either.

Anonymous said...

Boyda is so cozy with the media establishment they will never let the populace know the real Nancy Boyda. They need someone like her to advance the liberal agenda of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.

Anonymous said...

Is the governor NOT purely poll-driven?

Anonymous said...

I have heard that some of the former Ryun staffers were set up with cozy jobs working for the Ryun's son's.

Anonymous said...

I'm a former Ryun staffer and I wasn't set up with anything. If you have the numbers for the Ryun boys, I'll call them to find out why I was excluded.
