Dedicated to the proposition that Nancy Boyda is a one termer.

One More Thing

I was so busy laughing at Boyda's spin earlier, I failed to mention something else. Boyda said General Keane was "insulting" Congress by reporting good news.

Um, Nancy, what?

I'm, quite frankly, insulted by you.

And didn't anyone ever tell you what to do when you're in a hole?

the insult is lying to congress.

and its also an insult to the people.

Good to know where you stand - on the side of a political agenda, not the truth. Um, even Hillary Clinton is saying there are signs the surge is making progress.

the surge has made progress, but Gen. Keane was dishonest in his assessment...i'm as insulted as the first poster that our military would mislead to justify a president's failed policy.

"i'm insulted by you?" what are you, a 10 year old girl?

why didn't you just call her a poopy head?

Gen Keane is RETIRED!!!!

He's not speaking on behalf of the army, he's his own man now.

Gen. Keane actually recommended AGAINST the initial invasion. He is hardly a mouthpiece for the Bush surge. He was simply commenting that it was having some success.

you boyda haters are poopy heads!

(that was golden bloging whoever posted that before...)

also..have you guys seen the NIE today? sounds like the surge didn't do a lot of what it was supposed to...

who will say boyda was right first? hmmm...oh, right, none of you would ever ever ever in a million years admit she did even one thing right.

No one here is saying the surge is perfect. What we're saying is, Boyda should act like an adult when she's in a Congressional hearing, not like a spoiled child.

she did act like an adult...grown ups know when they are being lied to...unlike so many of you on this blog

An adult sits and listens even if they disagree with what is being said. You don't take your marbles and run.

So you're calling General Keane a LIAR? Really? Have you been to Iraq?

To the commenter on the NIE - you're a glass half empty kind of person aren't you? I could have told you the surge wouldn't accomplish all of its goals before it started. However, everyone seems to agree that the surge has provided the most gains in Iraq in the last 2 years and that should be viewed as no less than a big positive. Senator Warner was right to say that the political leaders in Iraq have let us down and are in fact our biggest obstacle. But, according to the NIE, withdrawing our forces by Christmas would only make matters worse.

As for Nancy Boyda, she should have asked General Keane where the problems were and what we could do to address them rather than accusing him of making it up.
