Dedicated to the proposition that Nancy Boyda is a one termer.

Hmmm

Nancy Boyda sent out an interesting campaign missive today. It highlighted her work in Parsons flood relief. To that end, we say, good for Nancy.

While I was feeling somewhat good about Nancy, I looked at the right of the page for the links she had in her e-mail. First, was a link to Labette County Flood Relief. Good. Then was a link to her campaign website - completely fair. The third link was "Contribute to Campaign." For me, that went too far. I know it wasn't in the body of the e-mail, but it still says, "Hey, look at me, I'm helping with flood relief, contribute to my campaign." That's taking advantage of people's pain and suffering for fundraising purposes. Bad form Nancy.

you're being ridiculous

what's ridiculous is nancy trying to raise money for her campaign after tugging at your heart strings for the people of parsons who suffered from flooding.

It's not "ridiculous", it is sad. Sad that she would attempt to profit from the misery of her constituents.

you're all being just crazy! the e-mail was NOT a fundraising piece at ALL even kind of. NOT TRYING TO MAKE MONEY OFF OF IT! If anyone actually thinks THAT was a fundraiser has no idea what one looks like.

Boyda's not the one using a disaster for political hay- it's Bounce Boyda and all of you people.

RIDICULOUS!!!

as carlos mencia would say...

der-der deeeeeeer!

You;ve obviously never worked with a e-mail form.

What have you done for flood victims, jerk?

Nothing? Oh, then zip it.

Nancy hands out taxpayer funded material at campaign stops and sends solicitations for cash to people who call her office for help. Her official phone list includes her campaign contact numbers. Ethics are for the little people, doncha know?

buddy, it was a CAMPAIGN e-mail...she didn't send it out to her house e-mail list, so why does it matter. The whole point of a campaign in this stage is to raise money!!!

It was a campaign e-mail that talked all about helping flood victims, which is fine . . . the purpose of that is to build goodwill. To have any fundraising suggestion in it is indeed bad form.

As for this being a "form e-mail", I've used the same listserv provider she does, you can remove the fundraising link just as easy as she added the "Labette Flood Recovery" link. She was raising money off this on purpose!!
