When Nancy Boyda takes her first two votes this week she will become a part of the Democrat hypocrisy in Washington. First, she will vote to install Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House. Not only is Pelosi one of the most liberal people to ever serve in Congress, but she is now Hypocrite in Chief. Pelosi for years has complained that Democrats were shut out of the process. Pelosi said her first order of business was to restore ethics and civility to the House. Yet, in the first vote after she is made Hypocite in Chief, she will bring several bills straight to the House floor without so much as ONE committee hearing or ONE Republican amendment allowed to be offered.
I look for Nancy Boyda to spin this as a win for the people, better ethics, better transparency, a higher minimum wage, liberty and justice for all. What it is though, is one big serving of hypocrisy, with many, many more to come.
Dedicated to the proposition that Nancy Boyda is a one termer.

More Hypocrisy
Nancy Boyda said she was running a grassroots campaign, that she wouldn't accept DC help because she would have to "toe the party line." (yes, that was her quote in the Topeka Capital-Journal exactly 9 days before the election)
Apparently, the $600,000+ in DC party money she accepted the last week was worth the price of winning over her word.
Nancy has some explaining to do over why her last act in winning the race was to break her word to the people of the Second District. My guess, more deception is to come.

Don't Believe the Hype
Over the weekend, Nancy Boyda announced she would forgo the health care plan available to Members of Congress (and every other federal employee, yep, they all get the same health care plan). She was hailed as a "breath of fresh air."
Not only are Members of Congress' health care options no better than other federal employees, BUT it's easy to forgo a health care plan when you and your husband are worth between $1.3 million and $3.8 million, and your husband is a trial lawyer. Yep, according to Nancy Boyda's financial disclosures, the Boyda's are pretty well off. They made somewhere in the neighborhood of $100,000 just in interest from their investments last year.
Spread the word, don't believe the hype.
