Dedicated to the proposition that Nancy Boyda is a one termer.

Honeymoon is Over

Stay Red Kansas reports that Nancy Boyda is already experiencing staff defections after just one month in office. This is no surprise as staff quit left and right on both her 2004 and 2006 campaigns, including the resignation of her campaign manager in 2006. The word through the grapevine was that Nancy and Steve Boyda are impossible to work for. Boyda is proving to be a tireless self promoter with the uncanny ability to open mouth and switch feet.

It remarkable that you'd reprint a claim from another blog, which stated "we hear" (signaling it as rumor), so nothing to check it's validity, and then repeat the charge verbatim.

You're the reason nobody takes bloggers seriously.

Well, in about 3 months, the quarterly reports will come out from the House of Representatives which will show how much staff turnover Boyda had. I guess we'll all see then.

Having worked for the both 2004 and 2006 Congressional campaigns and now for the 2008 campaign, I'm in a pretty good position to state that your claims are without merit. Nancy's management style would never be characterized (by anyone credible, that is) as being "impossible" or "dictatorial." Further, your claims of massive staff defections are also false.

Well Jan, since you're the only one who worked on the 2004 and 2006 campaigns and survived, welcome to the discussion.

I have been told directly by one of Boyda's former staffers that she was impossible to work for and that many of this staffers co-workers felt the same way. I don't know if there are mass defections now, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were.
