Dedicated to the proposition that Nancy Boyda is a one termer.

Fear Not Optimism

Nancy Boyda was at Labor Day festivities in Topeka yesterday. She said the American dream was under attack. The culprit - apparently those big bad multi-national corporations.

Whatever Nancy.

This is typical left-wing Democrat rhetoric, and it's the type of fear mongering Boyda is known for. Remember the supposed super highway she talked about that was going to wipe out thousands of acres of Kansas farmland . . .

And what about the healthcare crisis that she said needed to be solved in the next 18-24 months or else we were doomed . . . haven't seen the self-proclaimed "health care expert" Boyda solving that one.

If you think it's bad now, wait till this time next year when she's fearing for her political life. Better break out the old disaster drills because Nancy will say the sky will come crashing down if Ryun or Jenkins is elected.

i'm not a left-winger, but I think the multi-nationals are dangerous...

Did anybody catch that Boyda said in the cap journal that we needed to extend the tax cuts? Didn't she vote against extending them? I am confused.

No surprise if she did contradict herself. But don't ask the Cap Journal to call her on it. They're too objective to actually ask Boyda to clarify what she said (and says).

the cap journal is in the deepest pockets of the brownback-stauffer media empire.

If the GOP can't in them over, they're toast.

Did anyone see any signs of the Kansas GOP at this year's Labor Day parade in Topeka?

no sir, shawn, not even one elected national R or either of the two running for the 2nd dist were there

who cares, it's a year out from the election, it's mostly union democrats who are going to vote for Boyda anyway. She also took away their right to a secret ballot on union elections. Andy Sanchez was not happy about that one so Boyda needed to show up to mend some fences.

lol...RIGHT...boyda needs to mend fences with unions- NOTHING was better for unions than HR 800.

thank god ryun is surrounded by these sorts of idiots again

Why would either R show up?

Ryun was there last year and as a thanks, his office front on the parade route was vandalized.

Yup, it would make me want to come back.

You are the idiot. Andy Sanchez did not like the fact that his members lost the right to a secret ballot on union elections. He stated that to one of the R candidates. She didn't have to mend fences with the unions, it was with the state employees that Andy represents she had to mend. Quite acting like an insider when you don't have access to the candidates.

same to you, you ridiculous wingnut.

HR 800 HELPED unions...made it easy to create one...and all of this stupid "lost their right to a secret ballot" is nonsense...who has ever had the right to any kind of ballot in a union election?

I am not a wingnut and obviously you have not been involved in a union election. I have been involved in a union election from the management side. There is a ballot that you mark either yes you want the union to represent you or no, you do not want the union to represent you. The ballot box is monitored during the election by a rep of both the union and management, but the ballots are secret. The ballots are then counted in front of both the union and the company by a rep from the NLRB. I agree HR 800 does make it easier to get in a union because the vote is not by secret ballot anymore, thus allowing the unions to put pressure on the ee's to vote union and possibly allows pressure from the company to vote no on a union, but assume it would favor the union, which you agree with. Taking away a secret ballot to me is un American. What will Boyda take away next our right to a secret ballot in the voting booth. Sanchez was not happy about the secret ballot period, end of discussion. By the way you just confirmed that my earlier post was correct about who is an idiot.

your sentence structure did more to confirm who the idiot is, my friend. Commas are good things.

It is a blog, not a literary piece. Republicans don't have time for commas, we are busy working. Democrats have time for commas. Here are some commas for ya. ,,,,,

i do enjoy a good comma.

That does it. Even if she voted to end the right of individuals to vote on union membership, even though she tried to insult our military, even though she can't put together one lucid sentence about the stupid Democrat farm bill and even if she is about as dumb as a liberal can be...I'll vote for Nancy Boyda because she was in the Labor Day parade! I know what counts for good governance.
