A couple weeks ago, Nancy Boyda was all the rage after the Democrat leadership gave her a bill to pass on the House floor to prohibit former members of Congress from receiving their pension if convicted of certain crimes. An effort to clean up Washington was Boyda's theme.
It seems Boyda missed, slept through or ignored her own ethics training class at freshman orientation though.
An anonymous source forwarded to us an invitation to Nancy Boyda's district office open houses last weekend. The problem with the invitation is that it came from Nancy Boyda's campaign (clearly marked as "paid for by Nancy Boyda for Congress"). If Nancy had even taken the time to browse just the highlights of the ethics rules as found on the website, she would have read that "campaign funds and resources cannot be used for official House purposes."
So, what will Nancy Boyda attribute this slip up to, first week jitters like the disastrous Charlie Gibson interview? Or, is it a pattern and indicator of things to come?
Stay tuned . . .
Dedicated to the proposition that Nancy Boyda is a one termer.
