Dedicated to the proposition that Nancy Boyda is a one termer.

MSNBC Story

Not much new in the story. Jenkins mentions Ryun in negative light. Ryun stays above the fray. Boyda still complaining about being called on the carpet for her anti-military funding vote.

Beatty proves he is pretty much useless as a political commenter. Favorite Beatty quote, "The key for her is to remain the person she was when she ran," Beatty said. We're way past that Bob. Of course, not ever sure Boyda stayed really consistent when she ran, so maybe she is remaining the same person she was, not that it's any comfort to us.

I had Beatty as a student. He was an idiot then and still remains one. I can't believe he's still employed at the university.

Beatty is useless as a political commentator. He simply echoes the CNN verbage.

christ....this website is becoming a diary accounting the bloggers consumption of news.

what meaningless trite!

Jenkins is absolutely right. Ryun desperately wants the old Congressional lifestyle back. He misses all those wild and crazy block parties with buddy/colleague/neighbor/pedophile Mark Foley. Who could blame him. Foley knows how to PAR-TEE. What happens at "D Street" stays at "D Street."

on d-street moran, "on" d street...it's not a night club.

Umm...Did you mean "Moran", as in Jerry Moran, the Congressperson from Hays, or "moron", as in remarkably stupid person?
Just asking...

I thinks it's Jerry Moran posting anonymously on this blog.

Jerry never liked Jim Ryun either. He thought he was a waste of space as a congressman. Jerry has done more with Nancy Boyda in 6 months than he had in several years with Jim.

Jerry is a micro-managing, spineless Congressman. Ask anyone who worked for him. He was disliked by Republican leadership and the reason he didn't do anything with Jim Ryun was that Jerry didn't want Jim to run for the Senate against him. Jerry was always poaching projects from Jim Ryun and showing up unannounced in his Congressional district.

He showed up unannounced because he could. More people show up to Jerry's 2nd district fundraiser's than they do for Jim Ryun.

Jim Ryun in the Senate. Now that is funny. Drew I know you want your dad to be in the Senate, but it will never happen.

He showed up unannounced because he's a jerk. And no, this isn't Drew.

Ryun will not win with Kyle Robertson as his campaign manager. He should have chosen someone from within the district.

Jim Ryun and Jerry Moran just aren't friends. Jim Ryun has his own circle of friends on "D Street." Jim Ryun likes to hang out with his buddy Mark Foley. They party together.

It doesn't who runs Jim Ryun's campaigns. The twins will be calling the shots from DC.

Jim Ryun's friendship with Mark Foley is just plain weird. I've read that Foley is a Scientologist. He's also a gay alcoholic. Not really Ryun's kind of person. I bet their friendship is based on Ryun's belief in Christian charity. Perhaps he became his friend to see if he could help with his personal problems.

I'm a Jenkins supporter but all this talk about Ryun's friendship with Mark Foley is silly. There is nothing to suggest there was anything more than they were just neighbors and worked at the same place. The guy who lives upstairs at my apartment complex also works at the same place, but I hardly know him.

Yeah, I attend a church of about 150 people and I really know only 25 or so.

Regardless of how close Ryun might have been to Mark Foley, I can guarantee that Mark won't be around in the future. Ryun took some real hits because of Foley in 2006. Ryun knows to keep his distance.
